CBS Full Episode Streaming App is Launched for Android and Windows 8

CBS now brings its full episodes for Android and Windows 8 US users through a new TV streaming app while a BB10 app is also slated to come later this year.

CBS has launched it all new TV streaming app that will allow Android and Windows 8 users to watch full episodes of all shows. Prime time CBS shows will be available through full-episode TV streaming app 8 days after broadcast. But the late night and day time shows will be available within 24 hours of its initial airing. But this service is launched for only United States users.

But BlackBerry users have to wait till end of this year as CBS promises to launch a BB10 app too before end of 2013. CBS iOS streaming app is already launched in March and its hits 4M downloads.

CBS shows like The Big Bang Theory, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and How I Met Your Mother are now available through this app. CBS also "promises to update the app in the coming months with new episodes for fresh series and seasons airing in CBS primetime slots this fall. CBS Classics, including Macgyver, Star Trek and Perry Mason, will also be added around the same time," according to TNW.

Jim Lanzone, President of CBS Interactive, said, "When we launched on iOS in March, we promised fans we would bring the CBS App to all major platforms by fall premieres. Today we are doing exactly that. In addition, we're launching new social and second-screen features, as well as access to more content than ever before. We've seen a tremendous response to the app to date, and we'll continue to innovate on behalf of CBS fans in the weeks and months ahead."
