Don't Miss: This How to find Fingerlings in Stock

Ever wondered what is in a Chicken Nugget? If you love to eat chicken nuggets than you should not read further.

I think it is widely known that Chicken Nuggest are not containing the prime chicken meat like breast or thigh. Now scientists confirmed that by analyzing chicken nuggets from two national fast food chains. Their analyses shows that their is only at maximum 50% muscle meat in the selected chicken nuggets. The rest is skin and internal organs of chickens.

I am so not surprised. There are different kinds of nuggets on the market. Some just do not look like chicken meat at all.The problem is the false advertising and that chicken nuggets are marketed to kids. Look for Chicken Nuggets that say that the contain 100% white or breast chicken meat.

The National Chicken Council has published a response to the study. Quote: "This study evaluates only two chicken nugget samples out of the billions of chicken nuggets that are made every year. It is not scientifically justifiable to make inferences about an entire product category given a sample size of two."

The study was published in the American Journal of Medicine. Via Reuters.
