Google Watch to Come with Android 4.4 KitKat and Google Now on October 31

Google Nexus Gem smartwatch is speculated to come with many Glass like Google Now functions and Android 4.4 KitKat OS on October 31st.

Google is very close to reveal its next OS version called Android 4.4 KitKat. And it is rumored that Google will reveal is next generation platform along with its wearable watch device called Gem. Google Gem smartwatch is speculated to be Nexus branded that will have many functions of Now like Google's other wearable Glass device. It is also rumored to come with Google's next generation OS of Android 4.4 KitKat.

Google's next Nexus 5 device is also coming soon. Search giant has not yet revealed the launch date of any of its devices. But 9to5Google reports that Google will launch its Nexus Gem smartwatch along with Android 4.4 KitKat on October 31st. Google Nexus 5 can also come on same date.

Google Nexus Gem smartwatch details are not yet heavily described. But it looks to be device that will mostly have Google Now features. If these features will be alike Google Glass, we can see Now functions of Push a button, ask a question and get a response from Gem connected with smartphone. It means that you can see all information on your watch via Now-enabled connected smartphone. It is also rumored that Google watch will have longer battery life and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

All these details show that Google Nexus Gem will be far much better smartwatch than Samsung Galaxy Gear. But Apple's iWatch is rumored to work as a fitness tracker too with its health monitors. No such monitors are yet revealed for Google Gem. Hence, iWatch is till now getting an edge on Gem in terms of specifications.
