Apple has sent out media invites for an October 22 media event taking place in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

The rumored October 22 iPad event is now official. Apple has sent out the invites to the media for a media event taking place on October 22 in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco according to AllThingsD. The invite says: "We still have a lot to Cover."

It is widely expected that Apple will unveil the new iPad 5 and the new iPad mini 2. Besides the new tablets Apple is seen to present the new MacBook Pro laptops and maybe again the Mac Pro. New iPod touch palyers are also likely part of the new line-up. There is still hope that Apple is surprising with a new product. The iWatch is though seen not to break cover this year.

So mark your calendar on Tuesday October 22 at 10am PT for the new Apple announcements.
