Dexter stalks Netflix starting on Halloween
CBS Corporation and streaming media company Netflix have announced a partnership that will see every season of Showtime's hit series Dexter streaming on Netflix. The licensing agreement includes all eight seasons of the show with the first four seasons of Dexter landing for Netflix members in the US October 31.
The remaining four seasons of Dexter will be available on January 1, 2014. Dexter was one the most highly rated and loved series that Showtime has ever produced. Fans of the series who missed some episodes or simply didn't want to pay for Showtime would appreciate the entire series being available.
Dexter tells the story of Dexter Morgan who works as a Miami forensics expert for the police during the day and is a serial killer by night. "We're thrilled to have 'Dexter,' one of SHOWTIME's highest-rated shows on Netflix, and so quickly after it completed its record-breaking run," said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix. "This is one of the great serialized dramas of the past decade and we know our members will enjoy discovering or reliving the twisted world of Dexter Morgan anywhere and anytime they want."
