Now this is a funny story. Reality TV star Kate Von D "created" a lipstick for Sephora. It carries the name "Celebutard." Apparently nobody at Sephora realized that this product name is offensive to disabled.

The word Celebutard is not an invention of Kat Von D. The Urban Dictionary lists it since 2006. It is a mash-up of Celebrity and Retarded. It is used to refer to famous stupid persons. The Kat Von D cosmetic line at Sephora had a lipstick with Celebutard as product name. Apparently nobody involved realized the offensive quality of the word.

The product caused outrage online and triggerd several petitions on Change.org according ot CTV News. Sephora has now reacted to the public pressure and has removed the Celebutard lipstick from stores. It is though amazing that it actually made it onto Sephora's shelves.
