Writer liked the walking desk so much he's buttons on

Not too long ago an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles had when the characters working briefly at a treadmill desk and I wondered if you could really work at one of those things. A treadmill desk is exactly what it sounds like, a tall desk to hold your computer and other items attached to a treadmill where you can walk rather than sitting. Danny Sullivan from CNET decided to see how the treadmill desk works for him and ended up liking it.

According to Sullivan, during a typical day at his walking desk he walks anywhere from 4 to 7 hours and burns anywhere from 500 to 1000 cal. His step counter shows 15,000 to 25,000 steps per day. The desk he uses is the LifeSpan TR1200-DT7. He says you really can work while walking.

He says he was able to perform all of its normal tasks while walking except for paying his bills, which requires more space. He also notes that he lost 3 or 4 pounds over time from using the desk. He liked his loaner unit so much that he says is by his own use regularly at his home.
