Asus has introduced a rather interesting device that uses Miracast to stream content on TVs via tablets. It's called the Asus Miracast Dongle, and the device supports dual-band wireless streaming, making it ideal for movies and playing games on a larger screen such as a monitor or an HDTV. Tipping the scales at 35g, the light dongle is compatible with most of Asus's tablets.

Simply connect the dongle to your TV's HDMI port, and you are good to go. Able to dabble with 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi frequencies, the dongle is said to offer a stable data transmission. Supported mobile devices include the Asus 7, Asus Fonepad, Asus Transformer Pad, and Asus MeMo Pad tablets. Pricing and availability has yet to be announced.
