Vlambeer states in the developer's blog, "Because of popular request, we've been working with Zach Gage and Greg Wohlwend since March to see if we can create an Android version of Ridiculous Fishing. The breakthrough came when we met up with the folks at Apportable, who have a framework that allows them to port the game over to Android. That port is now almost done, and the next time you see us mentioning this should be when it releases. It might be sooner than you think."
The Android version became a possibility with a little cooperation from Apportable. And while it is still in the works, the time for its entry in the arena is not far off. The game is ultra-famous. It has sold on a worldwide level for close to a million dollars. And since its introduction, it has sold over 300,000 samples.
The game is very challenging and quite interesting to maneuver. Basically, you are on a ship from which you cast a fishing reel and let it go for as long and deep as possible without catching any fish. Then as you bring up the line you have to catch as many fish as you want to without catching any jellyfish.
Finally, after it is all on board you have to shoot the fish. It makes for a thrilling game play sequence. On the other hand, Vlambeer’s other dog-fighting game known as Luftrausers has had its launch date postponed from this year to the next. Meanwhile, the game Nuclear Throne too is to come to the platform soon. Once these three are here; Gun Godz, Super Crate Box and Serious Sam: The Random Encounter will be getting Windows 8 support too.
