iPhone 5S Shipping Time Reduced

The iPhone 5S is in high demand as opposed to the cheaper plastic 5C. That is why Apple Incorporated has reduced iPhone 5S shipping time to 3-5 business days to mark this holiday season.

Apple’s iPhones 5S and 5C both sold well in the beginning. Especially, the iPhone 5S was up for grabs. Its Gold Version literally disappeared from the market since it was so popular in the public mind. On the contrary, the 5C was not such a success story. It didn’t meet expectations and so one of its manufacturing spots in China had to actually be closed down.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 5S got sold out within two days of its inception. This of course was cause for worry. Apple started replenishing its stocks which seemed to be running out. And soon enough the deliveries restarted. In the beginning the time span given for shipments was one week. But now it has been reduced to 3-5 business days. And this decision is just in time for the holidays. This is quite a relief to consumers.

Meanwhile, Apple is trying to reduce this time span even further. It plans to deliver the iPhone 5S within 24 hours in some future time. But that is a long way ahead. This strategy was successful in case of the 5C. But the simple fact is that the astronomical demands for the 5S have made such turnout of goods a virtual impossibility. Nevertheless, Apple is getting there alright.

The new delivery times are valid in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Asia Pacific Region. The shipment schedules for the European Continent have not been issued yet.
