3D printer is under $2000 on Cyber Monday

I think one of the coolest gifts that you could give a geek this Christmas is a 3D printer. A company called LulzBot has announced that it will be having a Cyber Monday special on a desktop 3D printer called the LulzBot TAZ 2 3D Printer.

The normal price for that 3D printer is $2395. The Cyber Monday special price will let you get the printer for $1995. That is a big discount on the 3D printer. It ships with the printer and a number of accessories. This printer also supports multiple filament types allowing you to print with different materials.

The printer can use standard plastic filaments, ABS, PLA, PVA, polystyrene, and even wood filament. Wood filaments sound strange and allow you to create pine colored parts that can be sanded. The printer can print objects at 200mm per second.

"Whether you're buying a gift or treating yourself, the LulzBot 3D printer is a gift that will keep on giving. Our printers allow for continual improvements so you can add to, modify and change your hardware over time," said Jeff Moe, President of Aleph Objects, Inc.
