According to a InfoScout's panel of more than 125,000 shoppers, the Xbox One was the best-selling console on Black Friday and it was not even discounted. This weird situation only happens when new consoles get released and are in short supply.

The Xbox One comes out as the winner on Black Friday, but it is not clear if that has really something to say as the PS4 is a hard to find item. The Xbox One also just got released a week before Black Friday. It is the new kid on the block.

InfoScout has published in their 1st annual Black Friday Breakdown some very interesting findings. They use the data from a panel of 125,000 and more Americans that provide data of what they have bought on Black Friday. This is a pretty great resource. The data is based on about 100,000 Black Friday shopping trips that brought back 714,000 products.

In the Video game console category the Xbox One ranks in front of the Xbox 360. The PS3 is on third place and only at the 4th place is the Sony PS4. As mentioned above, this low rank is mostly attributed to the fact that there is almost no PS4 in stock.

The bestselling game on Black Friday was Call of Duty: Ghosts followed by Disney Infinity an Skylanders. Call of Duty: Ghosts was offered for under $40. Infinity and Skylanders starter packs have been 50% off.

I assume InfoScout will also publish a Cyber Monday breakdown. Looking forward to see that.
