The Chinese moon mission is on its way. The Chang'e-3 lunar probe blasted off in China. If everything goes well, China will be the third nation to soft land on the moon.

China has a new highlight in their space program. They are about to land a rover on the moon. The a Long March-3B rocket just took off in China. It brings a Chang'e-3 lunar probe into space. The Chang'e-3 lunar probe consists of a lander and the now famous moon rover Jade Rabbit (Yutu).

If everything goes like planned than the Jade Rabbit will drive around the moon in mid-December. See launch photos on XinHuanet.
