LG G2 Andorid update tipped for early next year

The LG G2 is one of the company's most popular smartphones. Users of any Android device are always out for the most up to date version of the operating system they can get their hands on. Users of the LG G2 have been anxious to hear when they will get the update to Android 4.4 KitKat.

KitKat is the latest version of Android bringing new features. LG says that G2 users will receive the OTA update to Android 4.4 in Q1 of 2014. That's not exactly a firm launch date given the three month span reported by GDTV.

I hope that LG will offer a more precise launch date when it's closer to Q1. The source of the Q1 timeframe was a LG rep from Canada, who also tipped that the launch could be in March for Android 4.4 on the G2. KitKat brings a number of updates including a new dialer and caller ID among other things.
