Will Ferrell anchors news in North Dakota as Ron Burgundy

Ron Burgundy anchors actual news in Bismark

Actor Will Ferrell has been in a number of comedic films over the years. The two films he is best known for are Anchorman and Talladega Nights. Ferrell is currently promoting his latest films, Anchor Man 2 and part of that promotion saw Ferrell co-anchoring a real newscast as Ron Burgundy in North Dakota. Burgundy was on air with KX News in Bismark, ND.

Apparently Ferrell did well reading the news as prompted without getting out of character. He did crack a few jokes according to NY Daily News. The same can’t be said for his fellow news casters, who reportedly cracked up a few times.

"The second he said, 'Good evening, I'm Ron Burgundy,' I lost it," Amber Schatz, Ferrell's co-anchor for the night, told The Associated Press Sunday. "It was really hard not to laugh."
