Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) reached a settlement with website that spread reports about her getting paid to have sex with top party officials. It was a crazy story to begin with, but it spread in China and globally damaging her reputation.

Almost 2 years ago reports surfaced claiming that famous Chinese actress (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, House of Flying Daggers and Rush Hour 2) sold her body to top party officials. A website called Boxun News has been published such reports that said that she was paid $100m to sleep with top ranking party officials according to BBC.

Boxun News has published now this retraction. It has not been revealed what financial terms the settlement of this libel case included. Boxun News says that the sources of their reports have been of anonymous nature and that they should not have published them.

Zang Ziyi latest movie is titled My Lucky Star. Next up for the beautiful Chinese actress are The Great Wall, Wu Wen Xi Dong and The Crossing according to IMDB.
