OK, you’ve procrastinated to the VERY last minute. It’s Christmas morning and you forgot to get something for someone special.  When you buy a virtual gift, a nice touch is to print out a card or certificate so you have something to place under the tree. You can grab a logo or other art from the company’s website. Here are some ideas

  • Digital music — send their favorite song or album from iTunesAmazon or another music downloading service, OR

  • Get them a subscription to Pandora or Spotify (subscribers don’t have to listen to ads and get extra features over the free service)

  • Give the gift of movies. You can purchase and download movies from iTunes, Amazon Instant video or other services OR

  • You can give them a subscription to Netflix, Amazon Prime (which includes videos and free 2-day shipping) or Fandor for the independent movie lovers on your list.

  • Buy some apps that you know they’ll love

  • An eBook from Kindle, Google Play or Apple

  • A subscription to Nextissue that gives them access to over 100 magazines

  • You can always but a gift certificate from just about any online retailer. Most will deliver them instantly via email.

  • Consider making something like a personalized calendar from your digital pictures or maybe the modern equivalent of a “mix tape” of MP3 audio files.

  • Finally — a great gift for many is a donation in their name. Or you can can give a Kiva gift certificate. With that, the person can invest/loan the money to an entrepreneur in the developing world and get the money later when the loan is repaid (more than 99% are repaid).
