It’s about time CES 2014 got rolling. The technology show that beats the rest hands down is to appear on the geek radar pretty soon. And it will feature anything technical that can have electronic stuff built into it.

The stage is all set for CES 2014. And the venue is Las Vegas or sin city. Everything from humongous TV screens with curved dimensions to self-driving automobiles is there for all to gaze at in admiration. The list of digital and space age marvels just goes on and on.

Wearable technology in particular brings the house down at the CES 2014. Starting with Google Glass and ending with the Pebble wearable watch, it is basically about which body part to fit technology with.

Biometrics and vital signs for health are measured by these attachable devices. Then comes the tablets, laptops and PCs which are all getting more and more streamlined. Refrigerators, appliances and smart phones too figure among the products on display.

The main thing is that technology seems to have taken on a life of its own. It has expanded to the point where a variety of spinoffs have arrived to fill the vacuum. There is every chance that later on in the future bionics will take over and the difference between life and non-life will vanish.

This Cyborg vision of the times which are yet to come may reek of artificiality and dystopia yet they signal the revolutionary changes occurring in our Zeitgeist out of sheer necessity. It is a race against time that is taking place to provide solutions to human problems via technology. And from whichever angle you look at it, it seems to be a success.
