Velveeta Shortage threatens Super Bowl 2014 Parties?

Kraft Foods is reportedly running short on the cheese glue called Velveeta. Velveeta is a favorite for party dips.

Does Kraft Foods have a Velveeta supply issue? Some reports claim that Velveeta is hard to find in some stores. Velveeta is a processed cheese product that Americans love since about 100 years. The soft cheese is a favorite incredience for dips served at parties. With the Super Bowl 2014 around the corner a Velveeta shortage is ill-timed.

Ad Age has reached out to Kraft Foods to get a comment on the Velveeta shortage reports. A Kraft Foods spokesperson said that the Velveeta shortage is a short-term issue as demand is very high right now as consumers host NFL play-off parties.
