A new phablet from Nokia is on its way but in a compact form.

A couple of live photos have displayed the new Nokia Lumia 1520v which hasn’t been released as yet but many have already seen it. In these pictures the new Nokia phone has been placed next to the Apple iPhone and has been sized up against it. The new phone which has also been named as the Nokia Lumia 1520 mini will fall under the ‘phablet’ category but this has been brought forth with a more compact form.

All the top shelf specs known to the flagship of Nokia will be instilled through this new device. Though Nokia’s MWC event is scheduled for next month, the release date has been set for April but it should not come as a surprise if the phone is released on the major Nokia event. This new device is featuring similar looks as the previous 1520 phablet but as the name implies, this is done in a much more compact form. The phone features a 4.45” display which has a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

There were rumors that the phone would be featuring a 4.3” display with a resolution of 1080p but now with these specs they have been put to rest. With a 2,370mAh battery and a 14MP camera, this new phone is a perfect replacement for the Lumia 925.And since this newer release is the ‘mini’ version and a compact form, the Lumia 1020 is expected to be in its place of Nokia’s “powerhouse” for a long time.
