Twitter Android App Update Makes Tagging Easier

iOS update will come later

Twitter has announced a new update is now available for the Android version of its mobile app. The changes will be coming to the iOS version of the Twitter app soon. It's unclear exactly how soon these changes will land on the iOS version.

The update allows users to tag people via @mentions when uploading photos reports Firstpost. The update also brings new ways to edit photos. The edits allow users to crop the image using square or wide aspect ratios. The updated app also allows you to rotate a picture before uploading.

Twitter added filters and the ability to touch up photos with a past update. Twitter also added new discovery features with this app. The new discovery features will offer users recommended tweets, trending topics, and suggestions if they have no new tweets to read.

That particular feature for recommendations is only available in the US right now. There is no word on when it will be offered in other countries or when any of the features will hit the iOS version of the app.
