No word on when the new shows will hit
Sky and HBO have announced that they have come to an agreement that will see Sky get current HBO shows for another six years reports CNET. The two are also planning to work together to make new shows that will presumably air on both networks.
The deal will see Sky get access to HBO shows like Game of Thrones and others until 2020. That is an extension of six years on the current deal. The deal means that Sky will have access to the HBO shows while rivals like Netflix and others won't.
Sky Atlantic will get Girls, Game of Thrones, and Boardwalk Empire among other shows. New programs like Looking and True Detective are also included in the agreement. Sky has also tweaked its interface recently. The new interface puts all the available content categories in one place.
