Esurance is Giving away $1.5 Million Saved By Running Ad After Super Bowl

Online insurance company tries a novel approach to gain attention. They bought the first spot after the Super Bowl game, which saves apparently $1.5 million compared to an in-game spot. Esurance is giving the cash away in a Twitter Sweeps.

The Super Bowl 2014 is finally here today. The Big Game will have the Denver Broncos face-off against the Seattle Seahawks. Besides the game there will be again a huge line-up of Super Bowl ads. So technically this is not a Super Bowl ad. Easurance has bought the first slot after the Big Game coverage. They spin the story in a way that they saved $1.5m by doing that and now one lucky winner will get $1.5 million. Why? Because Esurance lieks ot pass savings on to you. To enter the sweeps you just have to tweet #EsuranceSave30 before 1 a.m. PT on Tuesday (2/4). The fine print on the big give away can be found here.

Super Bowl 2014
