He is a regular punster and media-baiter. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has asked his fans on the social sites to decide the next opponent for him. The question for now is whether he is to tackle Amir Khan or Maidana.

It was a foregone conclusion. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has opted to let his rabid fans choose which of the two rivals he is to fight in the next world boxing championship. Mayweather took to his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram home pages and let loose a volley of words in which he posed the question to his growing fan base.

The May 3rd fight in the ring will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (a la Sin City). Mayweather’s fans are to vote on who is a better choice for him to pulverize with his fists. Of all the other competitors, which included Manny Pacquiao, these two are have made the final list.

Of the two fighters slated to match punches with Mayweather, it is Khan who is the fastest as far as hand-speed and footwork are concerned. He may just be the ultimate foil to Mayweather’s strength and style of slogging. Mayweather has however forgone the option of dealing with the topmost fighters. And they too have thrown their hands up as far as this clever and wordy fighter is concerned.

Floyd is known for his high jinks and shock jock tactics. He not only talks the talk but also walks the walk. It will be an interesting fight if he has a scuffle against Amir Khan. In fact, it will be a match to witness with both eyes wide open.
