An infant belonging to a couple in Wisconsin was found alive and well at an Iowa gas station a day later. After being kidnapped by its aunt, Kayden Powell who is a couple of days old was recovered in safe and sound condition.

It was an act which would make any parent start shuddering in terror. And no doubt it gave the parents of Kayden Powell nightmares. Their five day old baby son was kidnapped from its home by an aunt.

The mother was distraught and called the law enforcement authorities regarding the disappearance of her darling newborn.

The father was concerned too. Over three dozen police officers of every rank and order went in search of the lost baby.

The hunt for little Kayden Powell took a mere 24 hours. An aunt, Kristin Smith, who had left the home around the same time as the baby’s disappearance, was accosted in a vehicle in Iowa.

She had baby clothes and a fake pregnancy belly device in her car. The baby was not with her. Obviously she was the prime suspect and the police looked high and low for the little infant.

Its cries were heard from a nearby site. They hurried there and sure enough little baby Kayden was safe and sound all wrapped in a tote bag.

The freezing temperatures seemed not to have damaged the baby’s fragile health. The aunt was taken into custody and the baby has been reunited with its mother and father. All is well that ends well!
