The Mozilla Inc. has sent out invites to a press event during the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, this month, where the company has said it promises to show off their latest Firefox OS powered devices.

We all had our first look at the Mozilla’s mobile operating system last year during this show, but a lot has really changed over the past 12 months. And in fact, what was once an operating system simply destined for the emerging markets has now become something much bigger than that.

During the CES 2014, for an example, the Mozilla Inc. had announced a new partnership with the Panasonic in which, it is going to use the Firefox OS to power the company’s new upcoming smart TVs, expanding the reach of the Firefox OS outside of the mobile market. And of course, the Mozilla Inc. will compete against the webOS in this space, which was earlier revitalized when the LG had announced that it is going to power its smart TVs.

We all eagerly hope to see all of this on the display during the upcoming Mobile World Congress, in addition to new Firefox Operating System powered handsets, likely from the ZTE, another partner. The company has also been hard at their work optimizing the Firefox OS for the tablets, so perhaps we will see an early look at their work in that space, too.
