The True Detective series spans more than a decade and a half as the two detective buddies track down a deadly killer. In the latest from the series we learn a whole lot about the characters especially Marty’s wife Maggie played by Michelle Monaghan.
Marty is suspected to be the Yellow Killer, although it is highly unlikely. As for Maggie she leaves her unfaithful adulterer of a husband and has sex with Rust. The sex scene between Michelle Monaghan and Matthew McConaughey was pretty much hardcore, passionate and fast.
While Woody Harrelson and Michelle Monaghan are goof friends off-screen, their explosive arguments on-screen left both exasperated. In the series, when Maggie decides to cheat too, she finds Rust already drunk so the job is made even easier for her. It is just blind, nihilistic and meaningless sex which the two engage in. A one night stand is how we can put it.
Meanwhile, when Marty finds out about it, he has a big fight with Rust. Basically, a woman needs love too like a man and when you frustrate her she is likely to try to avenge the injustice. Maggie has promiscuous sex only to get back at her philandering husband Marty.
The series is definitely addictive for it features high drama, emotional scenes, twists and turns of fortune and a suspenseful tension. You are forced to keep waiting around for the next episode. And the character of Maggie definitely lends some sexual pizzazz to the whole ensemble.
