Ware will certainly be picked up by another team

The Dallas Cowboys are a cash strapped team, they are right against the salary cap leaving them little money to woo new players to the franchise. This is the reason why the Cowboys released on of their key players, DeMarcus Ware reports NFL.com.

Ware is one of the key players in the franchise and the decision to release him was a tough one according to Jerry Jones.

"A decision like this, involving a man who is a cornerstone player in the history of your franchise, is extremely difficult," Jones said in a statement.

Ware would have made $12.25 million in 2014 and was returning from an injury plagued year. Many were shocked to see Ware released, but he is going to be one of the more interesting free agent players out there for 2014. The money freed up by cutting Ware will help Dallas get some help where it needs help most, the defensive line.

Ware will most certainly be picked up somewhere. You have to wonder if the decision will come back to haunt Dallas. Dallas in the past held on to players that were well liked and had an importance in the past to the franchise. Many are surprised that Jones didn’t do the same thing with Ware; perhaps Dallas is turning a corner.
