Keanu Reeves is still attached to the film

Things are not looking good for the film called passengers. The movie was set to feature Keanu Reeves alongside Rachel McAdams. McAdams has now dropped out of the project reports the Inquisitr. Passengers is some sort of romantic science fiction film.

McAdams is believed to have been playing the love interest for Reeves as the duo flies through space on their way to colonize another planet. The idea for the film has the two traveling on the ship for 120 years to reach their destination.

The crux of the story is how the two meet and fall in love aboard the ship knowing their entire lives will be spent there. Passengers was originally set for an April 2015 release date, but the project was taken off the release schedule. McAdams is now said to have officially left the project.

Reports indicate that The Weinstein Co, the firm that bought the rights to the film is now stepping away from the project. Reeves is said to be attached to the picture still so perhaps it will be filmed. McAdams is said to be tired to three other films coming in the next few years, so she has plenty of work. There is no indication of why she dropped out at this time.
