The new beam SM-G3858 builds up on predecessors but will remain a mid range phone

The Beam phones by Samsung which had built in peco projectors on them never completely worked in the market but maybe Samsung is adament on presenting better and better versions of the phone and now we have news about another one of the Beams in the works. This one is the SM-G3858 which will be going ahead of the predecessors but it will still belong to the mid range as far as it pricing is concerned.

The information on the new development by Samsung comes in from Tenaa which is also providing for the certification of it. The new Beam phone is going to feature 4.66” LCD with only WVGA resolution which is powered by quad-core processor at 1.2GHz with 1GB RAM. The phone supports the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. However, we have got no information on the projector so far which is quite disappointing because it is the major highlight of the phone. All we know is that for its placement, the known bump is present at the top of the phone as spotted in the pictures.

The Previous Beams used nHD projectors and we are not sure about what this one is going to present except that the projector button is seen above the Power button. Some of the additional features include 3G connectivity (including TD-SCDMA) and a microSD card slot. The camera setup of the phone comprises of a 5 MP camera with a resolution of 1080p. Though we see the China Mobile logo on the pictures of the phone, this could not yet mean that there will be an international version.
