LeAnn Rimes has a TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder) issue which had led to a cancelled tour. She failed to give an encore at an Oklahoma concert due to her dislocated jaw.

Raving fans of country singer LeAnn Rimes were pretty depressed when she stopped delivering an encore mid-concert. But she had her reasons. LeAnn has TMJ, which means that her jaw popped out of its socket in the middle of her delivery of the lyrics.

Oklahoma was the venue of the concert which had to be cancelled to the extreme disappointment of the crowd. But LeAnn later on took to Twitter to justify why she had to beat an early retreat from her duties as an entertainer.

She explained the fact that she had had the malady since she was a teenager. And she said that it caused intense pain and she couldn’t hear out of one ear due to it. Yet she put up a brave façade and said that she was proud of her fans and all of Oklahoma as well.

LeAnn’s apology may have led to some sympathy and empathy for her condition. This is not the first time her pain and dysfunctional condition due to TMJ has acted up thereby disrupting her plans.

Two years ago she underwent several dental procedures to allay the misery that results from this chronic condition. But the disease has continued to haunt her on and off throughout her career as a songstress.

LeAnn Rimes has tried root canal to ease the pain and sometimes she just tries not to think too much about the constant dull ache. But it doesn’t work. You can’t just wish away the pain which feels like someone is drilling a hole in your jaw line.

LeAnn even sued her dentist some time back since she thought he had set her back instead of curing her of her illness. She will be back on track soon after some routine dental procedures.
