Robin Roberts, the GMA news anchor, will be going to ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" as a guest judge. She thus joins the ranks of others who have appeared as judges on DWTS.

Robin Roberts, the Good Morning America anchor has something pretty exciting in her future. She is to make an appearance on the DWTS stage. In the capacity of a guest judge on the show, she will team up with Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. The judge’s panel sure will get crowded.

Roberts spoke of the good yet frightening change which was about to come in her life soon. “I am nervous, yet you have to step outside your comfort zone,” she said recently.

However, the viewpoints she will be taking once she starts passing value judgments on the show will be purely that of a homebody. She furthermore asked her fan following for advice regarding the fine art of judging on Twitter.

This time around on ABC's DWTS, various celebrities will be asked to dance a dance that reflects the best years of their lives. Robin Roberts on her 50th birthday some time back danced the Cha Cha with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Robin is usually a morning person since she appears on Good Morning America. But no she will have to get used to sleeping late at night and sleeping in during the morning hours.

That is because DWTS is a late night show. And the two shows are engaged in intense competition with each other as regards ratings. DWTS is currently in its 18th season. It portrays stars and celebrities not to mention famous dancers displaying their stuff before a rapt audience.

A very popular show, its exciting and titillating dance numbers raise the passions of many who watch it for the prancing and swaying bodies that get shown on stage. With Robin joining the guest judges on DWTS, it will be leavened by a different point of view from the normal run-of-the-mill judges. We wish her all the luck!
