Brookstone Gadget Store Prepares Reportedly for Bankruptcy

Sharper Image stores vanished from malls a couple years ago. Now the other gadget store chain might have the same fate. Brookstone is according to a Wall Street Journal article preparing for Bankruptcy filing.

Brookstone is the only novelty gadget store left where you can find unique electronic gadgets and other stuff you do not really need, but you want them. Apparently the appeal of these gadgets has though flattened. Brookstone is in trouble. A possibly Bankruptcy was already in the news last month. Today the Wall Street Journal reports that a Bankruptcy filing could come as early as Sunday.

Brookstone is in negotiation to be bought by Spencer Spirit Holdings Inc.. This retailer operate Spencer's and Spirit Halloween stores. If the deal goes through, the word is that all Brookstone stores continue to operate.
