The most highlighted upgrade with the new tablet will be its lighter weight

We recently saw the official leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and evleaks was surely going to keep a follow up to this. Following this leak, it had revealed an image of the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. Similar to its smaller brother, the new Tab 4 10.1 is officially going to be announced on the 24th of April.

A specs sheet has just popped up and to the disappointment of many, the new Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 won’t be a substantial upgrade over the last generation Tab 3. It is going to feature a 10.1″ display which will stick to the WXGA resolution and the tablet will run on the same battery of 6,800mAh. However, a few tweaks have been seen inside the phone with the new 1.2 quad-core CPU which has a 1.5 GB RAM and runs the Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The camera setup has also been updated on the back with an 8 MP camera with auto focus which has replaced the previous 3 MP.

The weight is another thing which has received an upgrade and but the exact weights are merely rumors. The Tab will now weigh only 320 grams which makes it far more lighter than the predecessor which was weighing 510 grams. If the new generation is keeping the dimensions at 243 x 176 x 7.95mm, then the new weight will be pretty impressive considering that the Xperia Z2 Tablet (which is lighter than the iPad Air) weighs 426g.
