This should be a warning call to all businesses using photos of celebs using or wearing their products in Twitter. Actress Katherine Heigl sues a Duane Reade for $6m.

This could become one hell of expensive Tweet. Pharmacy chain Duane Reade tweeted a photo of Katherine Heigl leaving one of their stores. The photo was an unauthorized paparazzi shot according to Reuters.

The Emmy-Award winning Grey's Anatomy actress has filed a $6 million civil lawsuit against the New York pharmacy chain.

The lawsuit says accuses Duane Reade to advertise their stores with the unauthorized photo of Katherine Heigl on Twitter and Facebook.

Heigl will donate the money she wins from the suit to charity.

I receive many emails from businesses in my inbox that contain photos of celebrities wearing or using their products. These businesses should think twice to use these photos unauthorized by the celebrity now.

Katherine Heigl is filming right now the TV movie State of Affairs. See a Tweet of her from the set.
