Jennifer Lawrence has not only won an MTV Award for Best Female Performance, she is to appear in the upcoming movie East of Eden. This proves that she is definitely a winner.
Jennifer Lawrence beat several other actresses including Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston to win the prestigious MTV Award for Best Female Performance. This of course was for her role in The Hunger Games.

Several others had won the award before her. They included the likes of Lindsay Lohan for Mean Girls and Kristen Stewart for Twilight. Most actresses win a few awards and then it is all over.
But Jennifer Lawrence has proved her mettle by being a consistent achiever. She even beat Lupita N’Yongo who acted in 12 Years a Slave this time around. Amy Adams, another actress, got a Golden Globe.
Jennifer Aniston meanwhile had obtained the Best Kiss nomination for Bruce Almighty with Jim Carrey way back in 2004. Sandra Bullock similarly got the Best Kiss nomination for Speed once upon a time.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence will be appearing in the role of Cathy Ames for two East of Eden movies. Actually the 600 plus pages of the book made for such a long story that it had to be split into two sections. Lawrence is ready to change roles for the sake of changing roles.
The writer director of Hunger Games came upon the script for East of Eden. His children read it and they loved it. Then someone who was Jennifer’s friend read it and she too felt it was a wonderful novel. Finally, when Jennifer gave it the seal of approval, things were finalized.
Jennifer Aniston wanted to play the character of Cathy Ames. The character is pretty twisted and sort of psycho. Surely, Jennifer will have fun playing it. Cathy Ames is a woman who murders her parents in the novel.
On the other hand other roles await Jennifer. She may gain her very own X-Men Series with the character of Mystique. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner admits that is the case, although apparently not everyone believed such spinoff movies could stand up on their own like Wolverine:
“There was a regime [at the studio] that didn’t see the worth in [spin-offs], and the current people who run Fox understand, embrace it, and we’re going to do right by it. I’d like to do Gambit. I’d like to do Deadpool. We’ll see. There’s a lot of really great characters.”
Jennifer Lawrence is a winner among winners and she knows it.
