The Voice has just come up with a triumphant member in its sixth season. And the winner is Josh Kaufman.

The winner of the sixth season of The Voice was declared on Tuesday. And the man of the moment was Josh Kaufman. He snatched victory from two other vocal artists by giving an ostentatious performance.

The other two who didn’t make it were Christina Grimmie and Jake Worthington. Kaufman is an integral part of Team Usher. And otherwise he is an SAT tutor not to mention a married man with three kids.

This is Team Usher’s first big success. It comes after the winning streak of both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Kaufman’s near and dear ones joined him on stage when he won the event. He was absolutely overwhelmed.

Kaufman spoke of how he had no words for the feeling he was feeling at that particular moment in time. He was undergoing both eustress and distress at one and the same time.

Although some of the votes in favor of Kaufman were dismissed due to a snag in the computerized system, it made no difference since he was way ahead of the others.

"It had been such a stressful night and morning, a lot of nerves and heart racing and waiting ... It felt like forever," he told reporters at a news conference. "It was mostly just anticipation and wondering what was going to happen next."

Meanwhile, Levine and Shelton will return for the seventh season along with Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. On the other hand, the sixth season judges included Shakira and Usher.

Afterwards Kaufman opened up regarding how he faced such a challenge in the first place. According to him, the butterflies in his stomach made him quite uncomfortable in the morning.

But he just hung in there and took things normally as they came. He has said that the musical album he wants to create will have heart and soul in it as a major ingredient.

Something midway between the ultramodern and the primitive was what he sought for in his singing. And Usher is also mighty glad that his efforts at grooming Josh Kaufman have proven successful.

"This is definitely a great way to close Season 6. It obviously gives a great reason and logic to come back and defend the title, but more than that, to change the idea of what type of winner and what it takes to win, the type of songs you choose," Usher said.

"Josh put up an incredible performance and fight. ... He's a shining example of what you can do if you have determination, passion and commitment."

He will be returning to this platform as a judge in the future times as well. And Shelton, who became The Voice coaching champ thrice, also gave compliments to Usher in a separate news conference later.

"I think viewers of the show were ready for somebody else to win. You've got to change it up at some point," he said. "To be honest with you, when I heard Usher was coming to the show for Season 4, I thought at that point, 'It was fun for a minute.' Just knowing his history with developing artists, the fact he worked with (Justin) Bieber, obvious things like that, I just thought, 'We're never going to win again.' And then the fact we did was a shock to me. If there was ever anyone I thought could beat us, that would be Usher." And he also said, "That ain't never gonna happen again."
