Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have won the 18th season of DWTS. And that is no mean accomplishment.

A lot of hustling and tussling took place before the 18th season of DWTS had a clear winner. Meryl Davis and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy won the dance this Tuesday.

This is the first time the couple had seen resounding success on DWTS. At the second position were Amy Purdy and Derek Hough. And at the third level came Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas.

The moment the two made it to the #1 spot, members from among their relatives started bouncing with joy and even ran up onstage to embrace them.

Meryl acknowledged that the main credit went to Maksim who had worked really hard and rehearsed so much for the last dance. And all that input and effort paid off in the end.

Maksim spoke of how he was pleased with the winning combination and also said that to have done it with Meryl made it all the more special.

There was a lot of excitement and exhilaration among both partners on the momentous occasion. A fusion dance was presented by each couple before Meryl and Maksim won this round.

Amy and Derek showed some pretty quick tactics and sexy actions. Cameron and Mark meanwhile performed in a style that was over in a jiffy and showed some fast moves.

Meryl and Maksim took over with a foxtrot combination that simply wowed the crowd. They were told that their show of cards was the best. There is a possibility that this might be the last season of DWTS.

If that is the case then it was a stunning showstopper indeed. The amount of glamour and physical agility displayed onstage was enough to light up a whole city in hundred watt electric bulbs.

It will be long remembered as a happening event and the names of Meryl and Maksim will live on in the annals of dance history.
