A nasty fight started out in his area in the East Village. The tiff began between three inebriated men who fought it out in the early morning hours. The actor’s home was close by.
According to the New York Post, "The brawl had broken out at around 5:40 a.m. in a first-floor apartment in a building on East Sixth Street that adjoins the actor’s home. It spilled into the hallway before the men smashed through a glass lobby door."
The result of the fight was that a client was sent to the Bellevue Hospital with knife wounds to his face. The hermaphrodite hooker he had sought the services of made good its escape. And a third person was arrested as well.
Robert Rainey had charges of threatening behavior and ownership of a dangerous object along with theft against him. The police didn’t have all the clues until David Schwimmer leant them some help in the form of a security camera in his area.
The video tape from the camera will provide concrete evidence regarding the stabbing case. The footage will be presented as proof in the court of law.
David Schwimmer had hitherto spent an astronomical amount of money in order to renovate and refurbish his home and thereby provoked the ire of many of his neighbors.
But all of a sudden, all of his past behavior has been forgiven and he has been declared a lifesaver and local hero of sorts. One of his neighbors mentioned that just half a decade ago he was the least liked person on the block due to his supposedly snobbish ways. But now he is looked on in a different light thanks to his Good Samaritan ways.
“Four years ago, I would say David Schwimmer was the least popular guy on the block with the construction and all,” said resident Jayson Fillermutter. “But he has turned out to be a decent neighbor, and I am glad to hear he helped the cops with that stabbing.”
David Schwimmer proved once and for all that he is an ideal law-abiding citizen who is concerned about the safety of his fellow human beings.
