Despite being sold to Apple, Beats will still retain name in the PC market for at least a year and a half
Beats may be enjoying its way to the Cupertino company but that doesn’t mean that it gives up on its vast PC market. Maybe it has plans to slowly and gradually cut it down but that is certainly not happening at the moment. HP says that they still have got the rights to use the brand's audio technology for the foreseeable future and because it is part of the contract between HP and Beats and was formed before Apple purchased the company, it is going to be held in place.

According to the contract, HP has the rights to develop new Beats-bundled products through 2014 and sell those products through the end of the 2015.
