See the photos of RoboCop throwing the first pitch in Detroit and taking over the city.

RoboCop took over the city of Detroit yesterday as the crime fighter hit the streets to meet and take pictures with fans in celebration of RoboCop day and the Blu-ray and DVD release of the latest RoboCop movie.

RoboCop visited landmarks including The Monument to Joe Louis, The Spirit of Detroit, 8 Mile and Comerica Park. RoboCop also paid a visit to radio stations at Clear Channel, CBS Radio and Greater Media Detroit, and he even did the weather on WJBK-TV, the local Fox affiliate.

The day concluded with a the highlight. RoboCop made the first pitch at the beginning of the game between the Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays. See the photos in the gallery.
