It has been already a busy World Cup news day ahead of the highly anticipated match between USA and Germany.

Germany is facing off with the United States today in the World Cup 2014. The game decides the winner in the Group G. To see how high emotions run for this game take a look a the Bild Zeitung print cover for today. It shows a beaten up Klinsmann. The headlines reads: "Klinsi, Today you will see stars!" See the cover below.

Earlier today, Klinsmann posted a note that you could use to let your boss skip work. Not sure who signed it for the President, but he is apparently watching the game today at noon ET.

The US Soccer team tweeted a photo of Obama earlier today that says that the White House will watch the match at noon today. The US Team slogan One Nation One Team is resonating with Americans and Soccer is more popular than ever. The game between USA and Portugal was the most watched ever. It takes a German to make soccer popular in America. Klinsmann could write history if he leads the USA team close to the World Cup final.

You do not have to worry about winning today as Will Ferrell is joining Team USA. He is already in Recife. Let's hope the flooding in Recife will not cancel the game. Reports from Recife show flooded streets as the city is hit by heavy rains.

Just in: the verdict on the Luis Suarez biting scandal is in. The FIFA puts down a hard penalty. Luis Suarez is banned from nine official games and a four month ban from all football activities inclusively playing for Liverpool. More details on the Luis Suarez Penalty.
