Shia LaBeouf was arrested by the NYPD after he started causing mayhem during the theoretical performance of Broadway's musical Show "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
28-year-old LaBeouf was sitting in the audience when he suddenly started disturbing the show. He was loud and obnoxious and creating quite a stir with his rough and tough hooliganism. He was also smoking inside the theater.
When he was asked to leave, he refused and started threatening the people. That was when the police had to step in and handcuff him.
"It's due to his violent behavior toward patrons," a police spokesman,Brian Sessa, told the LATimes on Thursday night.
He was put behind the bars. “Nymphomaniac” star had been charged with one count of criminal trespass and two counts of disorderly conduct including harassment.
An NYPD spokesperson tells Us Weekly that Shia LeBeouf "has been charged with disorderly conduct. He was also charged with criminal trespass. While at Studio 54 he was upsetting patrons, being loud and yelling."
He seems to have been behaving in a very bizarre manner throughout. First he started talking with unknown people like he knew them on a first hand basis.
Then he actually got physical and began to slap some of them on their backsides. Thus the law enforcement authorities had to finally do their job. He started calling the policemen who subdued him vulgar words as well.
"Shia seemed out of sorts," a source tells US Weekly. "He was interacting with strangers during the show and slapping peoples' backsides. He was trying to avoid the police and fell. Then he was cursing at the police while being taken into custody."
The production of Cabaret was taking place in NYC when this incident took place. The show took place on Broadway and featured Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming. When Shia started getting all riled up, he was firmly taken into custody and led out of Studio 54.
According to the criminal complaint, obtained by THR Friday morning, "A security guard at Studio 54 saw LaBeouf stand up in the middle of theatrical performance and yell at the actors onstage, with many people in the audience of more than 100 people turning to look at LaBeouf as he disturbed the production. The security guard then asked LaBeouf to leave the theater but he refused to go. As LaBeouf was escorted out of Studio 54, he screamed at the arresting police officer."
"F--- you. This is f---ing bull---. Do you know my life? Do you know who the f--- I am? Do you know who I am," the complaint said. And he also spat at the foot of cop during arrest.
Other than the harassment which he took part in, he was constantly chain smoking while in the studio thereby raising a stink of nicotine. And three charges had been brought against him. There will of course be consequences of such wild and crazy behavior which borders on the extremely rash.
A cast member Danny Burstein wrote on Facebook, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs."
Lena Dunham also tweetd about Shia's arrest.

The Transformers actor was said to have actually started weeping when he was dragged out of the theater. He was clearly not a happy man. The disruptions he caused were probably the result of some drug addiction or serious mental problem he was suffering from.
Shia is otherwise known as a very rational actor who shines on the silver screen. The very fact that he appeared in the Transformers movie means he is no small-time actor. He is A-list material. So, just to think how such a famous man can make such a fool out of himself defies the imagination.
