Pop star, Ariana Grande recently expatiated on her role in Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat. The drama series is being curtailed from going on air.

The renowned pop star, Ariana Grande is world-famous for her song “Problem” in which she discusses romantic addiction. But did you know that she also was one of a pair of beautiful girls appearing in Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat?

The characters of Sam and Cat were played by Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande respectively and the miniseries was a very popular show on the Viacom-owned channel. See Photos of hot Ariana Grande below.

But due to internal conflicts among the stars, the show had to be put on hold. “I do now that there’s probably a lot of jealousy there — they’re young girls,” a source close to Ariana told HollywoodLife. “I do know there’s a little bit of jealousy because Jennette owned Nickelodeon and then Ariana came along.”

Now it has been announced that it won’t be appearing on television screens anymore. The show will end just after one season. Last episode of Sam & Cat will air on July 17.

According to a spokesperson for the show, there was no ill will or grudges and they wished the best for all the participating actors and actresses in the show.

"Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat," a network spokesperson tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. "We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best."

That’s how the program ends…not with a bang but a whimper! The reruns will remain though. And a source close to Jennette McCurdy told HL that “Jennette is upset the show is not returning but she wanted to be treated with the same respect that Ariana was being treated with and also wanted more money.”

Ariana Grande, who was half the act on the show, declared her views in a frank and straightforward way on her social accounts. She talked about her role and the cancellation of Sam & Cat in a long post. She shared the post on both her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Firstly, she offered profuse thanks to the channel for supporting her through the years and in a way helping launch her musical career too.

"I want to thank Nickelodeon for making a childhood dream of mine come true, for being a family to me, for being so accommodating and supportive of my multitasking with my music career, and for of course introducing me to many of my fans however many years ago," she stated.

"I want to thank Dan Schneider for allowing me to play such a special, beautiful character who I hid behind for so long. What I mean by that is when I was younger, people loved Cat so much I used to pretend to be more like her. It took me a long time to be brave enough to separate myself and show people how different we actually are.... I think that's honestly because I admire her so much.

Her appreciation for life and everybody she encounters. Her passion and genuine excitement for the little things that most people dread like school projects and work. She always saw negative obstacles as opportunities to make things good."

She referred to her ability to do several things at once as having been a habit that really benefitted her in the long run. The problems had begun on Sam & Cat a long time ago.

McCurdy had posted pictures of her self on a site that showed her nearly nude. That caused quite a scandal. Then McCurdy created a whole fuss about her salary and refused to appear on set.

That too really made quite a stink and led to some bad vibes among the actors and actresses. Her absence from the Kids’ Choice Awards was the final nail in the coffin for the program.

“They are not close and will definitely not be best friends from this, they are both moving on from it as if it was a relationship ending,” a source close to the Nickelodeon stars said.

”They will play nice but they will only really see each other at award shows mostly, which is very easy to avoid people at, so no Thanksgiving dinners for them in the future.”

Creation requires cooperation. And when you have such blatant disregard of rules and principles there is bound to be disharmony and chaos in the end.

But it was good while it lasted and at least the drama series served as a launching pad for Ariana Grande who is high as a kite and on cloud nine nowadays.
