With customers delaying their Samsung purchases to first look what an iPhone phablet looks like, Samsung had been caught up in a nightmare

Though we all might be thinking that Samsung is doing pretty well in the mobile industry, but the truth is that the company was preparing for their worst nightmare. Their sales had gone down by 10 percent and much of this bump can be attributed to the presence of the cheaper Chinese Androids which were eating up the lower end of Samsung’s mobile phone share. And to make matters worse, Samsung’s biggest rival Apple was seeing its sales accelerate. However, Samsung still has a chance to capitalize on their one advantage which they have over Apple and that is their offering of two large-screen phones in the high-end market. Apple on the other hand has no such offering at the moment.

The 5.5 inch phablet version of the upcoming iPhone 6 had been quite a scare for Samsung as this was going to take away its large screen offering advantage. Samsung is right to be afraid as many consumers have delayed their larger phone purchases in anticipation of the larger iPhone 6 which was expected to make it by September. We are pretty sure that Apple was quite happy about the entire situation with Samsung losing its sales and customers willing to wait for the iPhone 6 and delaying their Samsung purchases.

Things took a turn when it was speculated that the due to some problems in the production line, the 5.5 inch phablet version of the iPhone 6 might get delayed. The 4.7 inch version is going to be on time but the bigger version has been put on hold for a while. It just seems like the blow to Samsung has been taken back and now Apple has been put in a situation where it needs to worry.
