Walmart Cyber Monday 2014 Sale is Today

Walmart just launched a Cyber Monday sale today. No it is not the real Cyber Monday sale, it is a Cyber Monday sale for Back to School. Check out the deal highlights below.

Cyber Monday 2014 is still a couple months away. To be exact, Cyber Monday 2014 is on December 1, 2014. Today though the Back to Class Walmart Cyber Monday sale is happening on

The Walmart Cyber Monday 2014 Ad has been released. The Walmart Cyber Monday 2014 Sale begins already on Saturday, November 29. This is right after Black Friday ends. Walmart will offer 500 online deals this year, which is more than double the number of cyber deals it offered last year. Cyber Week at Walmart includes incredible savings up to 50 percent on HDTVs, tablets, toys and more with free shipping

As you know, I am not a fan of Black Friday in summer or Cyber Monday sales in summer for that matter. It is just diluting these sales terms even more with no real merit.

Let's take a look at the deal highlights in this Walmart sale ignoring that the retailer called it a Cyber Monday sale.

the best sellers are basic school supplies including 3-Prong Poly Folder ($0.40), Elmer;s Washable School Glue ($0.50) and Three-Ring 1" Binder ($0.87).

The hot deals in the electronics aisle include the $29.88 Straight Talk LG L34C Optimus Flue Android Phone, $349 50-inch 1080p LED HDTV and $54.99 7-inch Double Power Android Tablet.

The deals are not coming close to the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals of last year. Walmart for instance sells a 32-inch LED HDTV for $149. On Black Friday 2013 these TVs sold for $98.

I recommend to buy the essential Back to School equipment now and hold off on other purchases especially electronics until the Black Friday 2014 sales season.
