A new report from Chinese media claims that the name of larger iPhone 6 version will be iPhone 6L. No such hints for the name of smaller versions have yet been revealed.

It is widely speculated that Apple will launch a phablet-sized iPhone this year. But all the rumors termed the two upcoming iPhone 6 versions as the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 and a smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

No rumored names of the two versions have yet been revealed. But now a new report from 9to5Mac reveals the name of the larger iPhone 6 version via a Chinese website.

Apple Daily is a Hong Kong-based rumor blog that has posted some new photos of both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models with a claim that the larger version will be named the iPhone 6L.

However, the website has not revealed the name of the smaller iPhone 6 model. Can it be called iPhone 6C? No is the answer as a report from Mashable states that "4.7-inch iPhone will be a brand-new design, the "cheap" label doesn't make sense."

And Apple will also not name its smaller iPhone 6 as "iPhone 6S" because S will link it to the iPhone 5S instead of taking a nick for the "Smaller" version.

Hence, we agree with Mashable that Apple will more likely name its small screen iPhone 6 version simply as "iPhone 6." And Apple Daily also revealed the battery capacities of both versions along with photos.

The battery of 5.5-inch iPhone 6L is said to be 2915mAh in capacity and the 4.7-inch model is said to have a battery of 1,810 mAh capacity. And both the next-gen iPhone 6 models are rumored to have almost "unbreakable" sapphire-crystal screens along with faster A8 processors and the latest iOS 8 operating system.

Apple is going to launch its next-gen iPhone models at an Apple Media Event next month that is rumored to be scheduled on September 9th. And Apple is also said to launch its new iPad versions and wearable fitness device later this fall.
