Apple's smartwatch will tap on the nifty capabilities of HealthKit, its health and fitness platform, as well as HomeKit, a software for the connected home.
According to John Paczkowski of Re/code, Apple will reveal its long-rumored wearable next month, corroborating previous rumors that the iWatch, Apple's alleged smartwatch, will be announced alongside the company's iPhones next month.
Paczkowski is the latest Apple observer to claim first-hand knowledge of the company's smartwatch. In the previous months, Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac and John Gruber of Daring Fireball have also reported scoops about the iWatch.
Paczkowski says that Apple's smartwatch will tap on the nifty capabilities of HealthKit, its health and fitness platform, as well as HomeKit, a software for the connected home.
"Sure would be nice to turn the lights on and off from my wrist, though — or navigate my Apple TV (caution: Total speculation). Oh. Could things change between now and September 9? That’s certainly possible — har-har — but I doubt it," writes Paczkowski.
