25-year-old singer Simone Battle was found dead.

Simone Battle sprang into the public eye in the first season of X Factor in the United States. She was found dead Friday morning according to TMZ. It looks like she committed suicide.

The G.R.L singer was a finalist on X Factor USA in 2011. Simone Battle's record company and management released a joint statement today saying: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time."

Simone Battle was a member of the G.R.L. group since 2013.

Nicole Scherzinger shared her feelings about Battle's death on Twitter.
