Benedict Cumberbatch attended the TIFF 2014 event. He was in a laidback style of clothing and his demeanor too showed this manner on the occasion.

The Brits have attacked! After several English natives reached the TIFF 2014 event, Benedict Cumberbatch too appeared on the scene. The Toronto Film Festival was graced by the Sherlock star who is a mature 38 years old.

At the Hollywood Foreign Press Association & InStyle's 2014 Toronto Film Festival party on Saturday night, Benedict Cumberbatch only wore an azure coat and a light-colored tee. The style sense was as casual as it could be. A strange cap was on his head too. Why, he even sported stubble.

According to HuffPost, "Benedict was also sporting something that he's been growing for a few weeks now: facial hair! Yep, the Brit, who normally goes clean-shaven, had some noticeable scruff on his face and we have to admit that we like it!"

Cumberbatch will be staying in Toronto for the next few days while the premiere of The Imitation Game gets held. He arrived in Toronto in a state of jet lag and had had one too many Starbucks cappuccinos.

Benedict will play the math whiz Alan Turing in the movie The Imitation Game. He will also play a part in the upcoming The Penguins of Madagascar not to mention another version of The Hobbit.

But what Benedict Cumberbatch is really looking forward to is playing a part in Hamlet. The Barbican Theater will be the venue for this Shakespearian Tragedy. Meanwhile, Jessica Chastain will be Ophelia in Hamlet.

She too is excited about the role she is to be cast in. “I’ve never played Ophelia,” she told Yahoo Movies. “I always thought I’d play Ophelia. And it’s probably not now in my future…it’s a strange thing for theater with actresses, because you kind of grow away from a role.”

About Jessica's addition in Hamlet, Cumberbatch said, "She’s terrific! She can come and join our party if she wants. She hasn’t aged out of our production. I’m an older Hamlet, and we can all be contemporaries in the young world of that play."

At the TIFF 2014, Cumberbatch said that he wouldn’t have thought in his wildest fantasies that he would be getting an Emmy. As for Jessica Chastain, she was in a little black dress that made her look pretty as a princess.

There were several others present at the event including:

Salma Hayek,

Jon Stewart,

Gael Garcia Bernal,

Jake Gyllenhaal,

Chris Evans,

Robert Downey Jr.,

Naomi Watts,

Kevin Costner,

Denzel Washington,

Elisha Cuthbert,

and last but not least Juliette Binoche.

It sure was a star-studded event and despite being casually dressed, Cumberbatch stole the show. He was probably the most important man present at the event. It’s obvious that he has tons of talent and can hold his own against any one of the other big shots in Western cinematic history.
